Zelensky breaks silence with classy message in response to Trump bullying

Volodymyr Zelensky posted a classy message thanking the American people shortly after the cowardly and shameful bullying he endured from Donald Trump and JV Vance in front of the world’s cameras
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has posted a graceful message despite the horrendous bullying he endured in the Oval Office.

Mr Zelensky was hounded by Donald Trump and sidekick JD Vance in appalling scenes at the White House. Despite the shocking treatment in front of the world’s cameras, he broke his silence to thank the US, and even Trump

He wrote on Twitter/X: “Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you (President Trump), Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.”

In an incredible intervention which has caused jubilation in Moscow, Trump posted a statement accusing the Ukrainian President of disrespecting the US. The Putin apologist’s actions have been met with disbelief and condemnation across the globe.

Labour minister Douglas Alexander was the first UK Government figure to speak out, warning the world is now in “dangerous and uncharted waters”. He said only Putin would benefit from division in the West

“And it demonstrated frankly, in the starkest possible terms, the extent to which the world that we have all experienced over the last 80 years has changed beyond recognition. We are in dangerous and uncharted waters this evening.”

Mr Alexander said it throws into question the US commitment to standing up to Russia. The Labour minister said: “Every US President since Truman and Eisenhower has stood foursquare against Soviet expansion to the east of Europe. So I genuinely welcome the fact that President Zelensky will be here in the United Kingdom tomorrow, ahead of a meeting on Sunday with 12 European leaders being convened by Keir Starmer, the prime minister of the United Kingdom.

“Because with the changes that we are witnessing in the euro Atlantic security area, our deeds are now going to count more than our words. And it is a time for deeds not just here in Britain, but from right across Europe in support of the Ukrainian people.”

Trade minister Douglas Alexander said only Putin would benefit

Anger erupted in a meeting between Trump and Mr Zelensky – as the US President accused his Ukrainian counterpart of “gambling with World War III”. In fiery exchanges in the Oval Office, the erratic Republican berated his guest, telling him he “didn’t have the cards” to win the war without the United States. And he issued Ukraine’s President with an ultimatum: “You either make a deal, or we’re out.”

But Mr Zelensky warned Trump promises of peace from Vladimir Putin could not be trusted. He called the Russian leader a killer and a terrorist and told Trump there should be “no compromises with a killer.”

Ukrainian ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova was seen holding back tears as the Republican duo rounded on Mr Zelensky. Trump’s behaviour appears to have thrown out hopes that a peace deal to end the war started by Vladimir Putin can be reached.

The shameless posturing has been greeted with delight in Moscow. Former Russian President and Putin ally Dmitry Medvedev wrote: “The insolent pig finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office.

“And (Donald Trump) is right: The Kiev regime is ‘gambling with WWIII.” And Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said it was a miracle the US representatives had restrained themselves from hitting Zelensky.

The cowardly US commander-in-chief later wrote of Mr Zelensky: “He disrespected the United States of American in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for peace.”
